The bouncer at the bar wearing the black security tee is there to protect the bar-goers. Cloud security exists to protect the cloud, and includes things like firewalls.
Anyway, the hope is that hackers will not steal the precious information individuals and businesses store in the cloud. Different forms of cloud security exist to make this information really hard to get to.
