Co-signer

Someone who signs a lease, rental agreement, or loan with you. They are just as responsible as you are for making payments, so if you have a co-signer on a car loan and don't make your payments, the bank or dealership can come after your co-signer to pay up. You might need a co-signer if you have bad credit or not enough of a credit history.
