Drip Marketing
A drip marketing campaign involves hitting a potential client with a string of pre-written messages, delivering them on a set schedule. Think: Chinese water torture, only with advertising.
Usually, drip marketing is done by email. A spammer sends the prospective customer a steady stream of ad copy. An email today. Another one tomorrow. Maybe a follow-up a couple weeks down the road. Drip, drip, drip. And then they phone, whispering, "The dripper is in the house..."
