Financial Services Roundtable

It’s like the Knights of the Round Table, but with financial service representatives instead of knights. And instead of searching for the Holy Grail, they discuss best financial practices and lobby the government for legislative change. They also donate a bunch of money to political candidates whom they believe will support their agenda.

This group represents the 100 largest financial service companies with American customers. In 2018, they merged with another big-deal lobbying firm known as the Clearinghouse Association.

We’re not sure how big of a round table they’ll need to accommodate everyone in the group, but we’re betting it’s pretty large.
