Yes, that would be the lingo of a head trader.
But...uh...perhaps more relevant to finance, a head trader is the back-stop in a proprietary trading sytem, usually inside of a bulge bracket bank or a huge hedge fund. That head trader basically assesses and manages risk, hires and fires the soldiers, and is either a hero or a dolt.
In good years, you can make bonuses (boni?) upwards of $50 million.
Bottom line: if you can be one of these people, you want to be one of these people.
