High Earners, Not Rich Yet - HENRYs

This term applies to pretty much everyone in Silicon Valley under 40 who wasn't a founder or early employee of one of the Mega Caps like Facebook, Google, Amazon, Netflix, Uber, etc. They make a million dollars a year, but after tax and mandatory savings and government contributions, keep as net compensation less than half that amount.

You'd think 500 grand would be enough to live on, even feel wealthy. But when a burger dinner is 30 bucks and a 3-bedroom home on a quarter acre is 4 million bucks....it's not.
