Ishikawa Diagram
Categories: Financial Theory
An Ishikawa diagram, known by many other names (fishbone, herringbone, etc.) is a diagram that shows cause-and-effect over time and process.
Who loves Ishikawa diagrams? People whose butts are on the line for product design and quality control. Ishikawa diagrams can help you see where and when something could go wrong, helping you find the “why,” and ultimately fix the issue.
But Ishikawa diagrams don’t stop there—they’re useful for designing user experiences...and really any process with cause-and-effect, where you have visibility in most of the factors involved. It’s been used in manufacturing, marketing, and customer service experiences, too.
