Line Graph
When someone hands us a bunch of measurements of the same value (like closing prices of a stock) that are taken at different (and usually equal) time intervals, we know just what to do with those points. Wait...What? Eat them? Ewwwww, no! Talk about gross.
No we plot them on a scatterplot and then connect the points with lines, so we can clearly see any trends in the data. Just remember that the lines are there as a visual aid and don’t really mean that there are data values between the original points. Also called a line chart.
