Once you get to a nursing home, you might not have a lot to say. You might be in a coma, or busy reliving your youth of several decades past, or just startling nurses by randomly crying out thing like: “Arthur, you cur! You know Tweety doesn't massage baloney!"
A long-term care ombudsman fills the communication gap.
It's the title for a position meant to advocate for residents of nursing homes and other similar facilities. They look out for the residents and field concerns from family members and other interested parties.
