We’ve all heard of Brexit. And anyone who hasn’t...it might be time to come on out from under that rock. But what would happen if other countries decided to leave the European Union? No, not economically or financially or politically or any of that, but...what would we call them? Not every country has a name that we can easily turn into a cute, catch-phrasey Brexit-esque nickname…do they?
Well, according to the world of Reddit, they sure do. And one of our favorites is Austria’s hypothetical EU exit name: Oustria. There are some other good options—Austria la Vista and Austria Luego are pretty clever—but Oustria just has such a nice ring to it. There’s currently no indication that Austria has plans to leave the EU, but rest assured that, if they do, the internet world is more than ready to nickname the historic event.
