Twit Pitch
In ye olden days, we had “elevator pitches.” You know, that thing your old uncle used to tell you to always have on the cuff of your sleeve, in case you ever needed to pitch yourself (or your startup, your business idea, product, or service).
In today’s elevators, people are more likely to be on Twitter than to be pitching each other. And thus, the “twit pitch” was born: the elevator pitch, reduced down to 140 characters, rather than the number of floors you’re passing by.
With the fast pace of tech and venture capitalists being short on time, lengthy business proposals and business plans are being phased out by newer, more concise documents. If you’re making a startup, your twit pitch could make or break you. A good twit pitch will get venture capitalists asking for more. A bad one will have them pass you by. As they say, ‘tweet your twit pitch or get off the pot!’
