Revenge. It's not just a hit show on ABC. It's a strong feeling, an overwhelming desire to hurt someone who's hurt you, your friends, or your family. It's also the driving force between many of the characters in City of Bones. In the book, we see parents getting killed all over the place, and their kids want to avenge their deaths, whether it's by killing the person who committed the murder or wiping out an entire race.
