The first part of this is pretty inarguable – none of us wants to be shouted at or hit, right? But then Christopher takes a pretty big leap, suggesting that he needs to <em>always</em> know what's going to happen, and what everyone around him is going to do next. Now that's a recipe for disaster.

Sometimes Christopher is afraid of the things we're <em>all </em>afraid of: in this case, violence. He takes it one step further, though, and includes "touch" as a scary possibility.

Christopher places great emphasis on facial expressions. One could argue, though, that it isn't how fast these expressions move, or how complicated they are, that gives him the most trouble. This dog example in particular suggests that the real issue is that people often try to conceal their true feelings and intentions, and disguise this emotion behind a misleading smile or a frown.
