Character Analysis
Prokofyich is one of the oldest servants at the Kirsanov's house. When everyone else gradually gets used to Bazarov, Prokofyich is one of the few to persist in his dislike. The narrator notes that "Prokofyich in his own way was quite as much of an aristocrat as Pavel Petrovich" (10.1). It seems that, after spending so much time close to his masters, Prokofyich adopted many of their habits and their dislikes.
