Hedda. Even if you hate her.

No one ever said you had to love the protagonist. Even if Hedda is cold, manipulative, and as Ibsen said of some of her attributes, "demonic," she’s still the focus of the play, the title character, the most complex and fleshed out of the players, and the most psychologically compelling.
