The French, especially the Dauphin

This one's a no-brainer. When the French decide to put up a fight against Henry, they achieve instant "antagonist" status because they get in the way of our protagonist's goals. This is especially true of the Dauphin, who tries to rub Henry's nose in the fact that France refuses to let him just waltz into the country and snag the crown.
