Daddy Clidell and Daddy Bailey

Maya calls both of these men "Daddy." And that's about all they have in common. Daddy Clidell's modesty, work ethic, and paternalism make Daddy Bailey's lack of all these features even more obvious. Daddy Clidell is the good dad, and Daddy Bailey is just plain not.

Momma and Vivian

Who's the real mom around here? Momma is the one who takes care of Maya and Bailey, but it isn't until flighty Vivian shows up that we realize how lucky the kids are to have grown up with their grandma. Momma is nurturing, caring, protecting, hardworking—all the things we expect in a mom. Vivian, on the other hand, is glamorous and beautiful—all the things we expect in a… lady with a sugar daddy.
