Since there are only two main characters—Dante and Virgil—and they don't fight each other and they don't really fight anyone else, much less defeat anyone (Hell takes care of that for them), there is no true antagonist. Even Lucifer is a bit of a letdown.

Nope—the only antagonist here is sin itself... which is way too nebulous as pervasive to be a character.
