About 100 years after Chaucer wrote "The Knight's Tale," Shakespeare co-authored a play based on it called The Two Noble Kinsmen, with a man named John Fletcher (source).
Theseus shows up in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream playing a very similar role to the one he plays in "The Knight's Tale."
King Creon, whom Theseus punishes in "The Knight's Tale" for refusing to allow enemies' bodies proper burial, is the same literary figure who forbids Antigone to bury her brother's body in Sophocles's Antigone.
