Danny Saunders

It’s easy to identify Danny Saunders as our protagonist, the hero of our story, though it probably isn’t evident right away. When we first meet him, he seems odd, at best – and cold and mean, at worst. When the real Danny becomes visible to Reuven, Danny’s struggle to gain independence without losing his father takes over the story. We care about the other characters, but we are invested in Danny and his battle for freedom.
