Zeus really puts the smack down in this myth. Offended by a guy named Lycaon's offer of human flesh as a sacrifice and sick of the brutal Bronze race of mankind altogether, Zeus decides to wipe the slate clean by sending a flood to destroy everybody. In a ton of myths involving Zeus, he spends most of his time seducing innocent young maidens, but in this one we see him get seriously serious. By sending the Great Deluge, Zeus shows that he's the guy in charge and that he's the final judge of all.
