Women throw themselves at K. in the novel, and K. doesn't seem to have any problem romping with them even as his own court case goes downhill. Suggestions of sexual deviance pop up throughout the novel, from the examining magistrate's pornography, the court usher's wife promiscuity, and the flogging scene, which has elements of sadomasochism. However, the sex is never explicitly described, which keeps the novel strictly in the R category.
