Artist Jean Michel Basquiat was born on this day in 1960. The graffiti artist and painter was no stranger to the pop scene. He dated Madonna and was pals with Blondie's Debbie Harry. In fact, Harry and her boyfriend bought his first painting for $200. Basquiat later appeared in the video for Blondie's hit "Rapture."
