Unless you created the cronut and your name is Dominique Ansel, people won't know your name. In fact, when you're at work, you're probably going to be trapped in the hot, sticky, noisy back room.
You'll be hidden from view like some sort of deformed, grotesque animal the more presentable cashiers and wait staff are embarrassed to be seen with in public. The people eating the bread to which you dedicate seventeen hours of your day, seven days a week, won't know your name or even recognize your face.
They'll know the name of the bakery, though. And they'll write Yelp reviews about the bakery. But Rolling Stone isn't going to be pounding your door down for an exclusive interview. Bummer.
If you're ambitious and you have business savvy, open a bakery of your own. You won't be the next Kardashian, but you'll get your bakery's name out there. And with your ridiculously long hours, you basically are your job. So, same-same?
