As long as Americans will drown their sorrows in dark, dank bars rather than in the privacy of their own homes, bartenders—arguably the world's second oldest profession—will continue to exist.

There are more than half a million fine, upstanding human alcoholic beverage dispensers in this country, and if we had to guess, we'll have just as many two decades down the road. Whether they work in clubs or restaurants, lounges or taverns, it's a near certainty that bartenders will be with us twenty years from now...and probably centuries into the future.
