Physical Danger
You spend a lot of time outdoors as a botanist, so you have to steel yourself to running into a few of the hazards of the great outdoors. The sun is one of them. Many a botanical expedition will involve applying aloe vera (yes, made from plants) to your face to neutralize the effect of the barrage of UV rays zapping you every nanosecond.
Other hazards include: armies of bugs, clouds of flying stinging insects, peat bogs, quick sand, toxic plants, tedium, and exhaustion.
For indoor botanists, make sure that any experiment with Frankenfoods doesn't turn you into Frankenstein, and don't drink the samples instead of your coffee.
