Their work makes it possible for doctors to have the most complete picture of a person's potential for disease or the diagnosis of a condition and is at the forefront of next-generation treatments for devastating diseases. Pretty cool, right? 

It's also pretty indispensable. If there's one job field that won't disappear when robots take over the workforce, it's this one. The next twenty years look very sunny.
