Herpetology isn't the sort of field you tumble into by accident.

So, it's probably safe to say that if you've spent your days becoming an expert in all things slimy and scaly, you've probably got a big slimy, scaly passion to match. And since you'll be spending your professional days helping those creatures by monitoring ecosystems, educating the next generation, and protecting wildlife, you're likely going to feel pretty dang good about what you're doing most of the time.

If you're good enough, you might even see your study in a well-respected scientific journal or be the recipient of a hoity-toity Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine. The sky is the limit...at least, until we discover frogs on Saturn.
