Physical Danger
Paper cuts. Filing cabinet finger jams. Stapler accidents. These are just a few of the many non-dangers that you face as a bureaucrat.
Let's face it; you work in an office pushing papers around all day. You don't build anything; you just tell people where they can build or how much they can spend. You don't go to war; you just provide services to those who have. You do shake a lot of hands, though. Keep a good anti-bacterial hand lotion on you at all times and you'll be fine.
There is the possibility, however, that the higher up (and more visible) you are in the world of public service, the stronger the likelihood of threats. Of course, threats aren't the same thing as actual violence...but they're scary nonetheless.
The silver lining in this scenario, though, is that if you're noticeable enough to get threats, you have a team of folks trained in what to do to protect you. Not everyone will be happy with the decisions you'll have to make, but don't let them rattle you up.
