Fame
We've been racking our brains and, for the life of us, we can't think of one famous roofer. Okay, that cool guy on TV who does dirty jobs has probably done roofing in an episode, but we're not counting him. He's not a full-time roofer. Unfortunately it's usually the roof that gets famous instead of the roofer. There are famous architects who've designed roofs...but they didn't build them.
The best way for a roofer to get famous would probably be from some viral social media stunt, like doing a backflip off a client's roof into the swimming pool. But, don't try that. Going viral is pretty tough; and some things, like volunteering to help out magicians working on their sawing-a-person-in-half trick, can be a little too much risk for the reward.
