Let's break it down. Marketing majors have a 45% job satisfaction rate when the median for college grads is about 54%. You're following us, right? Nod along—we're watching. Just kidding, we're not the NSA…or are we?

That means that these grads are on average less happy than other majors out there, but that doesn't mean that you can't love your job with this degree. It just means that less than half of the people who have it actually love their work.

Then there's the pay. $58,000 isn't chump change, but it's not going to buy any mansions either. When you think about that compared to the median salary for college folk (say, $55,000), it's about the same.

Chances are, as a marketing grad, you'll make an average salary, but that's nothing to sneeze at. Even though $58k isn't millionaire status, it's not going to leave you high and dry either. Let's face it. You can do an awful lot with $58k. Like buying twenty motorcycles and trading them to various folks in exchange for their loyalty. Your very own biker gang, just for a year's work in marketing. High-five.
