Build on others' talk in conversations by responding to the comments of others through multiple exchanges.

You'll notice that second graders have to link their responses to the comments of others. First graders get a little more leeway with a more general "respond to the comments of others" a.k.a. they should try their best. If the conversation's flowing, that's what we're looking for.
