Nebuchadnezzar

Figure Analysis

King Nebuchadnezzar is the Babylonian ruler who invades Judah, conquers it, and finally sends the entire population into exile, along with King Jehoiachin. He is provoked into doing this by Jehoiakim's rebellion, after being Nebuchadnezzar's servant for three years. A major character in the book of Daniel, there's relatively little information about Nebuchadnezzar's personality in 2 Kings—although he fulfills an important role.
