Character Role Analysis

Marjorie

Marjorie starts off as the story's antagonist (when we overhear her whining about Bernice to her mom), then strays off her villainous path for a short while, and ends up the antagonist again. This is indicative of her selfish nature – she's only interested in Bernice when her cousin seems like an exciting project to take on, but the moment the project becomes a successful product, it's not fun anymore. Marjorie is so self-centered that it would be hard for her to be anything but an antagonist to poor Bernice; from what we know of her, she seems to manipulate and lead on everyone else, from Warren to Bernice.
