Your Field Guide to Spotting Chiron
You absolutely have to have a chat with Chiron, the centaur. For one, he's half-man half-horse, which is just kind of cool. But on top of that, he's the man behind all of your favorite heroes, from Jason to Achilles. Spend a few minutes with him and you'll see why he's such a great teacher. He holds his students to high standards, but he's also one of the gentlest, most patient guys you'll ever meet. And, of course, he's got brains out the wazoo. He knows everything about everything, but his specialties are medicine, prophecy, and the stars. In fact, he probably knows even more about the stars now that he's made up of them. Yep, it's true. After Chiron died, he was placed among the stars as the constellation Sagittarius... or was it Centaurus?... those two get confused sometimes. Don't let that deter you, though. Pegasus' stable is just around the corner: I'm sure he won't mind taking you to see the wisest centaur of them all.
