What's the Deal?
Is it the government's jobs to create communities? We don't know, but around the time of the New Deal the U.S. government obviously thought so. This is an overview (with pictures) of some communities that were created during Roosevelt's administration.

Jobs, housing and the role of government: issues that today have sometimes become little more than fodder for political debate once spurred a nation into action. Over the past few years, Jason Reblando has been photographing several utopian communities that were built almost 75 years ago as part of the New Deal to stimulate employment and improve living conditions.
