"Jack"

From the opening scene to the last, we're focused on our main character: the guy with no name played by Edward Norton. And because the opening credits actually scroll by while the camera is inside his body, we get to know this guy inside and out, physically and mentally.

It's his personal journey we follow, and his identity that we watch crumble and regenerate onscreen. And, since it's Tyler who mostly acts like the dirtbag, most of the "good" qualities are left to the half of the personality played by Norton.
