Case File: Menelaus vs. Helen
Police Reports
Case Description: Complainant (Menelaus) accuses Defendant (Helen) of adultery. When Menelaus finally got his hands on Helen again after the Trojan War, he was determined to punish his unfaithful wife by stoning her to death.
Case Status: Case dismissed. Helen was so upset that she ripped open her robes. The stones dropped out of Menelaus’ hands when he saw his wife’s body again. He was totally re-smitten and decided to pardon her. The two traveled back to Sparta and lived (sort of) happily ever after.
