Historical Drama

Schindler's List is a historical drama, presenting a slightly fictionalized account of events that actually took place, in an effort to illuminate our understanding of them…or maybe just to remind us that they really happened. There's some contracting of events and a few compound characters to help the narrative go down smoothly, but otherwise Schindler's List presents the events and the people just as they appeared.
