  1. How to Survive The Plague
Can your students not get enough of Albert Camus and his absurdist perspective on life? Introduce them to The Plague, a novel about human suffering and how it's impossible to defeat. Yes, it's extremely bleak, but also extremely interesting, and your students won't be able to resist a story about the Black Death. Like The Stranger, it's very uncomfortable but never, ever boring.

  2. Absurdity in Waiting for Godot
Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot is like the themes of The Stranger brought to life in pure dialogue form. Two characters spend the entire play waiting for someone named Godot, who never actually shows up, and the whole thing is an absurdist masterpiece about people's habits and the pointlessness of life. If Meursault liked anything, this would be his favorite play.
