one extra curricular activity this year Yeah well guess what
- 00:27
it starts today but don't despair because even though chess
- 00:30
club might not sound like the most exciting thing in
- 00:32
the world it could be fun Yeah Okay Well maybe
- 00:38
not that fund So how do we turn this into
- 00:41
something closer to this than simple Ready for it by
- 00:46
cooperating Seriously don't buy it Well we'll prove it Meet
- 00:50
uncooperative Alan his dad insisted he joined an extracurricular activity
- 00:55
course class thing And he chose chess club because it
- 00:58
sounded like the easiest place to slack off Meanwhile meat
- 01:02
slightly more cooperative carl Admittedly carl didn't really love the
- 01:06
idea of an extracurricular activity either But his grandpa has
- 01:09
always wanted to play chess with him So he figured
- 01:11
if he had to participate in something you might as
- 01:14
well make Is grandpa happy Alright So carlin allen show
- 01:18
up for day one of chess club allen's one hundred
- 01:21
percent dedicated tio sleeping and carl He decided to give
- 01:26
it a fair shot Knight to bishop four Carl listens
- 01:31
He learned he asked questions even if they're not the
- 01:34
greatest ones at first But he cooperates And because of
- 01:37
his efforts he makes a few friends and actually starts
- 01:39
enjoying himself Alan well you know and if we flash
- 01:44
forward three months nice Now you're probably thinking carl's just
- 01:47
having more fun because he has friends there yeah that's
- 01:49
True Maybe you're thinking he's enjoying himself more than alan
- 01:52
because he actually took the time to learn the game
- 01:55
Well that would also be true or maybe it's just
- 01:57
because carl realized that the stuffy old chess teacher it
- 02:00
was actually kind of a cool dude after all Then
- 02:03
again you'd be right but this isn't all happened stands
- 02:06
The reason carl's having a good time is because he
- 02:08
let's all say it together now cooperated And now he's
- 02:13
got new friends and new hobby and a happy grandpa
- 02:16
And as for alan he's been moved to the environmental
- 02:19
club which is a great club but well not quite 00:02:22.143 --> [endTime] as conducive to what Nothing
