If you're looking for fame, the last place you'll be able to find it is in the bottom of a mineshaft. Seriously, you're way more likely to find the entrance to Narnia down there than any fame.

The sad truth of the matter is the only people who ever get famous working mines are the people who get stuck inside when an accident happens. And if you're the one who inspected the safety of a mine that has an accident, the last place you want to be is on camera. So avoid fame at all costs in this line of work, because it won't be the good kind.
