Physical Danger
Travel agents may find themselves in peril if they sell a terrible vacation package to someone with a powerful upper body and short temper. While travel agents themselves aren't in much danger, they can put their customers at risk if they sell them services in a dangerous region of the world.
The U.S. Department of State issues advisories for travelers. These travel advisories warn people against traveling to places that are unstable or straight up war zones. It is up to a travel agent to mention any country or area that is on the advisory list. Booking vacations without warning customers puts them in physical danger. Clients tend to complain to your supervisor when they return to the U.S. after a twenty-eight-week stint as a hostage.
