Cosmo Brown

He may have "sidekick" written all over him, but funnyman Cosmo is more than that. He's Don's conscience. When Don gets too big for his britches, or starts feeling sorry for himself, Cosmo is his reality check. The best example of this is the "Make 'Em Laugh" number. The whole point of that sidesplitting spectacle is that Don needs to get his priorities straight.

Cosmo also guides Don through sticky situations. Whose idea is it to turn The Dueling Cavalier into a musical? Yup. Cosmo's. Who renames it The Dancing Cavalier? Cosmo. Whose idea is it for Kathy to dub Lina's voice? That would be Cosmo. If Don has a problem, odds are Cosmo has a solution.
