Don Lockwood

Don's our leading man. The whole movie kicks off with him narrating his life story. Sure, he's making it all up, but still: being the narrator? Total protagonist move. Don also grows the most during the movie. He evolves from being an insecure, self-centered, silent film star to an ambitious dancer and authentic actor. Gaining respect, both from his peers and himself, has it perks. In the end, Don gets the career he's always wanted and he gets the co-star of his dreams: both on the screen and in real life.
